Couples Should Take a Ride on the M-Line Trolly in Dallas
The McKinney Avenue Transit Authority, better known as The M-Line, is a hidden gem in Dallas! They use 7 vintage streetcars to take you around the Art District and the Uptown neighborhoods. You can use their map to see what trollies are running and where they are in real-time. It is hands down one of the best things for couples to do in Dallas.
If you can get on 122, I highly recommend it! She is from 1908 and is the oldest running streetcar in the United States.
The trolly runs for most of the day!
It takes about 1 hour to go through the entire route. You have the option to hop on and off whenever you want.
The M-Line only accepts donations, so you and your date can ride for free.
Pro Tip:
I highly recommend stopping and checking out some of the unique places the M-Line passes!
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is a Uptown stop, so take a couple of hours and check it out.
The Sixth Floor Museum is a great, historically significant option. It is about a 15-minute walk from the St Paul & Ross stop.

The two of you will feel as if you were transported to a different place. Thanks-Giving Square was designed to be a spiritual center dedicated to appreciation and contemplation. And you can truly feel the peace and tranquility in the atmosphere.
Thanks-Giving Square will take about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on whether you slow down and smell the roses. It is free to the public, but they do accept donations.

Make time for the Longhorn cattle drive, which happens twice daily at 11:30 AM and 4:00 PM! You can see these magnificent animals before and after the drive behind the Livestock Exchange Building.
You can spend a whole day at the Stockyard but plan to be there for at least 2 or 3 hours. There are free and paid options at the Stockyard, so the amount of money you’ll spend can vary widely. This is one of the best things to do for couples near Dallas.
Pro Tip
If you have time, check out the Fort Worth Water Garden. They are less than 10 minutes apart and definitely worth the time.
Dallas is a fantastic city, and I recommend it to everyone, but parking is a B*tch! It’s confusing and expensive.
You have to pay close attention to the parking signs!! There is street parking at certain times of the day, but at other times, it is used for regular traffic. And best believe you will be ticketed if you are parked at the wrong times.
If you go to any parking lot/garage, you are paying for half-day or full-day parking regardless if you will only be there for an hour. You will spend a minimum of $17 to park, so I recommend taking advantage of the city’s public transportation.
Parking is the only downside to Dallas, so take a trip to this unique city!
It truly doesn’t matter what type of journey you’re on! Dallas is the place to go if you want to go on a couples getaway, solo adventure, or foodie trip. If you and your Boo decide to take on Dallas, please share your experience with me. I would love to hear all about it.
